Snickers Chords
You never know what's going to get a big response. Figuring out the Snickers song seems to be a shared experience though. So here's the chords, at least as close as I'm willing to make them. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know.
This is pretty close:
As near as I can tell it's kind of a walk down from G to Em. I'll make
up a name for the middle chord and tab it out. Say G/F#.

Hey man, I think the chord being played where you wrote "c" is a chord someone made up. instead of c (032010) play this..022010. Its like Em but adding in a finger on the b string. I think it sounds better than just C. I'm calling it Am7/B, but if it were actually called that, then you would have to not play the low E string. The song requires that you play the low E in the chord so it bridges between the G and D better. It sounds good like this..and like i said, I like it better than C. ReplyDeleteYeah I had more of the G/e thing going on the second chord. I never paid attention to see if he was really playing in the commercial or not. Always wondering why the pick guard is upside down. Don't they have a left handed guitar for the guy.

It's a right-handed guitar played left-handed, without restringing ("upside down"), and is in drop D.

ReplyDeleteHey Im kinda new to guitar so dont blame me if this is the dumbest question you have ever heard and I can play all those chords but what is the strumming pattern or what is he doing to make it sound that way. I really cant just watch the video and figure it out. It sounds like sometimes he just plays one string so I dont think he is just playing all chords. Plz help me if you can

ReplyDeleteI agree this post is pretty good but the only chord that sounds wrong to me is the D. But it is kind of hard to hear in the song
ReplyDeleteAnd with the question with the strumming he just plays the first string of each chord for the first note of each change and then strums the whole chord. It's easy to play once you get the feel of it. It is pretty loose too you can play the first two strings on accident or something and it sounds fine.
ReplyDeleteActually I do hear the D base note where you said there is a D chord but it does not sound like a D chord when he strums it.... I'm trying to hear it out... It seems like a pretty weird chord.
